2010 World Series of Poker

 The 2010 World Series of Poker has been scheduled and will begin on May 27, 2010. The final table of the Main Event will conclude on November 9, 2010.

The 41st annual WSOP will have a total of 57 events played with 57 bracelets to be won. The first event of the series will be the $500 Casino Employees No Limit Hold’em event. The Main Event will begin on July 5th and there will be two weeks of play until the final table is named.

There are a few changes in next years schedule compared to this years games. The $50,000 HORSE event will not be played. Instead there will be a $50,000 Players Championship event in which eight different games will be played.

A few new games have been added including a $25,000 6-handed No Limit Hold’em was added as Event #52 and a $10,000 HORSE Championship game will be Event #43.

Other changes to the structure of the tournament series have also been made. Some of those changes include more poker tables for certain games, and assignment of starting days for the main event after a certain date. Also note that the first $1,000 buy in event will take place on May 29th.
